Cockroaches …… Positive: At first glance everything seems decent but then after you check in, the valet immediately hits you with a $30/night MANDATORY Valet charge and there’s no way around it. This is not something you can charge to your room or something you’re even told about while you check in, just the first of many surprises as your trip progresses. The next thing, much to my dismay was the cockroach crawling next to my foot as I sat at the table in my room eating dinner. The hotel room phones conveniently don’t work so it wasn’t like I could call and ask someone to help me. And generally speaking, when I pay upwards of $300/night at a hotel l, I don’t bring my raid with me. But I should have, because that was just the first of many to come after that. My favorite one was the one climbing on the bathroom wall while I was showering, and then slithering through all my toiletries on the counter. And a special shout out to all the little baby ones that were crowding around the sink/ kitchen area. But my favorite part was that nobody at that hotel even knew what to say or hot to make the situation right. I wasn’t offered one compensation, not even a free drink. Not to mention that when I asked for the manager (on a Saturday night) I was informed there wouldn’t be one on the premises until the following evening. So when I reached out to the owner of the “apt” I was staying in. Because apparently they’re all owned by separate owners which is how the “hotel” takes no accountability for anything they occurs or goes on there, she also told me that she would not be compensating me in any way for my distressed hotel stay with the cockroaches. They were actually pretty dismissive and rude about it as far as I was concerned. Only confirming to me that they would make sure housekeeping looked into it for the next guest and not to worry ? Lol. Like THE next guest, was my main concern here. Overall, I would say, it was minimally enjoyable, at best. Negative: Where do I begin. The cost far exceeded the ammmenities (which there are non) and the treatment from the apartment owners and hotel staff. But mostly I didn’t like the cockroaches. This issue in Particular, is not something I ever want to deal with, nor should I while at a hotel. But nobody seemed to care. Not even when I showed them multiple pictures which I have attached for you all to see
